Robert Shandera

Gracie Jiu Jitsu/ Kenpo/ Sport Karate

Robert began his martial arts career 1991, by studying Kenpo karate under Mike Foley Sr. in Spaniards Bay. Robert began his teaching career in 1997 after receiving his black belt in Kenpo Karate from Mike Foley Sr. Robert has competed extensively at the regional (sport karate and Jiu-jitsu) and national (sport karate) level, medaling at both. Currently, Robert holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and purple belt in Gracie Jiu-jitsu.

Selected Accomplishments:

1997 – Promoted to black belt in kenpo karate by Mike Foley Sr.
1999 – Bronze at Ontario Provincial Championships.
2000 – Promoted to 2nd degree black belt in kenpo by Mike Foley Sr.
2009 – Promoted to blue belt in Gracie Jiu-jitsu by Pedro Sauer.
2011 – Promoted to 3rd degree black belt in kenpo by Mike Foley Sr.
2012 – Gold medal Copa de Terra Nova, light weight division.
2012 – Promoted to purple belt in Gracie Jiu-jitsu by Pedro Sauer.

  • Purple belt Gracie jiu jitsu.
  • CASK Level 1 nationally certified kickboxing coach.
  • CPR and First Aid.
